Ectopic firing in DRG neurons

In neuropathic pain, dorsal root ganglion (DRG) neurons generate inappropriate action potentials in the cell body [1]. It is likely that this is due to altered expression of one or more sodium channel subunits [2]. This toy is an implmentation of a published DRG model [2] with the addition of a NaV1.9 [3] and can explore the interaction between the different sodium channel subtypes.

The model is implemented in Matlab. Download source code, windows executable with runtime (170Mb, required first time) or windows executable without runtime (when updating).
